Sacramento Countywide Inclusion Academy for Teams- Year 2


Increasing meaningful, effective, and inclusive school experiences for students with disabilities requires an organization-wide vision, commitment, and careful planning focused on shifting educational policies, practices, and culture. This interactive series is designed for LEA teams to address key factors that can influence successful organization-wide transformation efforts resulting in greater inclusion and belonging for every student.

Participants will:

-Identify multi-disciplinary (GenEd & SpEd) leadership team participants who will collectively cultivate and refine inclusive policies, practices and systems.

-Calibrate understanding, language, and collective responsibility for dismantling ableist mindsets, policies, and practices.

-Identify, upack, and analyze data to create a culture of shared accountability.

 

Ideal Teams Include:

-Superintendent/Asst.

-Superintendent/Director of Curriculum and Instruction

-Asst. Superintendent/Director of Special Education

-Curriculum Specialists

-Program and or Inclusion Specialists

-Personnel Administrator 

 

This is academy will be held on two different days Friday, January 16 and Wednesday, April 29, 2026
