What participants said:

This professional learning series helped me better understand effective strategies for supporting multilingual learners in the classroom. I gained practical tools such as language scaffolding, visual supports, and collaboration strategies to support student learning. I also developed a stronger awareness of the importance of cultural responsiveness and relationship-building. I plan to apply these strategies daily to better support students’ academic and language development.

This five-session event focuses on  best practices  for Bilingual Paraeducators to support multilingual learners. Topics included in the sessions are educational equity, theories of second language acquisition and learning, Common Core State Standards (CCSS), English Language Development (ELD) Standards, Integrated  and Designated ELD along with effective strategies to support students in the four domains of language listening, speaking, reading and writing. All sessions are conducted in English.
