INK Summer Institute

The Inclusion for Kids (INK) 2 Day Summer Institute, held July 30–31, 2026 at the Sacramento County Office of Education, is a statewide professional learning experience for early learning leaders, coaches, program specialists, and educators who support inclusive preschool systems.
This interactive two day Institute brings regions together to build a shared message of inclusion, deepen understanding of inclusive early learning, and strengthen leadership capacity to support programs using the CDE Inclusion Toolkit. Participants will engage in community building, guided reflection, and hands on learning with nine statewide partner agencies, gaining practical tools and resources they can immediately take back to their regions.

The Institute emphasizes Rightful Presence, collaboration across systems, and realistic leadership actions that build momentum for inclusive change. Regional teams will create action oriented strategies to support preschool programs and agencies, aligning with CDE priorities and a coordinated statewide vision. Participants will also receive materials, books, and ongoing support through a virtual Community of Practice.
Whether you are experienced in inclusion or just beginning this journey, the INK Summer Institute offers the connection, tools, and inspiration to grow inclusive practices—together.

Note that day 2 will end at 2:00 PM
