Autism and Mental Health


Many students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) also experience mental health challenges that can significantly impact learning, behavior, and overall well-being. Understanding the connection between autism and co-occurring mental health conditions is essential for providing effective, individualized support. This session explores common mental health disorders associated with ASD, evidence-based assessment practices, and practical intervention strategies to help educators and school-based professionals better support students' academic, social, and emotional success.
