Summer Starts in September
Summer programming may feel months away, but effective summer learning starts with intentional planning well before students arrive. Drawing on the Wallace Foundation’s Summer Learning Toolkit, this interactive professional learning session will guide participants through five core elements of planning an effective summer program. Participants will explore practical strategies, reflect on their current planning practices, and identify key actions that can strengthen program quality, engagement, and outcomes.
Through collaborative activities and planning conversations, participants will connect the toolkit’s research-based guidance to their own programs and begin developing a roadmap for a successful summer. By the end of the session, participants will leave with actionable next steps and tools to help ensure a promising start to summer programming.
Coffee, tea, and light refreshments will be served.
