Building Mathematical Motivation
Building Mathematical Motivation is a countywide professional learning series designed to help grades 4–12 educators strengthen student motivation, engagement, and access to rigorous mathematics. Grounded in David Yeager’s 10 to 25: The Science of Motivating Young People, participants will explore mentor mindsets, asset-based approaches, and practical strategies for pairing high expectations with meaningful support. Through in-person learning and optional community of practice sessions, educators will collaborate across Sacramento County, reflect on their practice, and develop strategies they can apply immediately in their classrooms and schools.

NOTE: Lunch: Lunch is not provided. Participants are welcome to bring their own lunch or leave the site to purchase lunch nearby.
