2024 Building Thinking Classrooms Summer Intensive - Toolkits 1-3 (Option 1 - 6/10 to 6/14)
Audience: TK-12 Math Educators and Coaches
In this 5-day workshop, we focus on building thinking classrooms (BTC). Delve into the first 3 research-based Toolkits shown to foster active learning, engagement, and mathematical thinking in any classroom setting. Explore how to integrate the 3 Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) Signature Practices into your routines, and how they can help you fine-tune your thinking classroom by enhancing student belonging and motivation. Participate in two rounds of team-driven Task Study utilizing summer school classrooms. Deepen your understanding of the macro & micro moves found in the (BTC) practices so that you can apply them in your own classroom.
