Learning Sessions - Creating Equitable Early Learning Environments for Young Boys of Color
The training modules are designed for parents/families, educators, community members, Administrative teams and anyone supporting young boys of color, their families and the community.
Participants will learn:
Foundational skills to establish strong, positive, responsive relationships between young boys of color and their families, educators and communities.
Knowledge about systemic racism and structural barriers that create implicit biases and seek to disrupt the systems.
Impacts of frequent experiences with bias and racism on brain development.
Strategies for mindful reflection and use of love as core element of a strength-based, responsive early education.
Use of emotionally attuned interactions to foster positive relationships Instructional and culturally responsive practices that communicate, love, respect and genuine care.
