Learn at Lunch: Hmong American Day

In June 2024, the CA Assembly formally passed a resolution acknowledging the Hmong contribution and sacrifice during the Secret War in Laos. AC197 officially declared May 14th as Hmong American Day, which coincides with the fall of Long Cheng and the date of the last airlift evacuation of Hmong soldiers and their families out of Laos. In this Learn- At-Lunch session, you will learn how Hmong Americans arrived in the United States, how they are currently situated, and how their stories matter within the equity discourse.
