Join us for our Fall Community of Practice! Let’s learn together with Daniel Silberstein, M. Ed, Education Specialist, from California’s Diagnostic Center North as we dive into screening and recommendations for what to do as next steps. Following Daniel’s keynote, we will collaborate in team time and across LEAs. 
 
Sessions are designed for LEA literacy leadership teams. Team members may include: Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents, Chief Academic Officers, Site Leaders, Instructional Coaches. We also encourage LEA Elementary and Secondary leaders in Curriculum & Instruction, Equity, MTSS, Special Education, Multilingual Education, Early Learning, Expanded Learning, and Assessment & Research to attend.

Daniel Silberstein is an Educational Specialist at the California Department of Education's Diagnostic Center of Northern California (DCN), where he specializes in dyslexia identification and intervention. As a former statewide dyslexia trainer for the California Dyslexia Initiative (CDI), he has extensive experience in screening protocols and assessment practices. Daniel played a key role in developing California Department of Education presentations supporting the Reading Difficulties Risk Screener (RDRS) implementation and has edited Dyslexia Assessment and Screening modules for UC/CSU's Neurodiversity and Learning Collaborative. His background includes directing Oakland Unified School District's Reading Clinic, where he gained hands-on experience with dyslexia screening and intervention in diverse educational settings. Daniel is dedicated to equipping educational teams with effective dyslexia screening strategies and evidence-based practices for early identification and support.
