These trainings  are open to Sacramento County SELPA LEAs and its staff 

Foundations of Professional Practice - Session 1

Clarify the vital role of paraeducators in supporting student success through professionalism and ethical practices.

  • Define paraeducator roles and responsibilities
  • Explore workplace professionalism and boundaries
  • Understand ethical behavior in educational settings

Ideal for: New and experienced paraeducators seeking clarity and confidence in their role.

Please note: This is Session 1 of a 6-part series focused on empowering paraeducators and instructional aides (IAs) by building their knowledge, practical skills, and confidence to support student success.While it is encouraged to attend each session—since they build upon one another —it is not required to participate in all sessions.
